On Sunday 31st May 2020, Clive Dearden, loving husband and son-in-law, passed away at the age of 67.

Clive was born on November 7th 1952 in Hunstanton, Norfolk. He moved to Nottingham in 1977 to support Jackie who he married on 19th August 1978.

For the majority of his working life he was a joiner and took particular pride in mastering complicated roof restorations but his passion in life was music. He sang from an early age progressing from head choirboy to lead singer in several bands. Clive wrote, arranged and performed his songs throughout his life. The recordings he made with friends are a lasting legacy to his amazing skill and talent. Clive also loved travelling, walking, golf and football and was known for his courage, infectious humour and generous spirit.

Clive is survived by his wife Jackie, his mother-in-law Bill, brother Marcus, sister Gillian and several nephews and nieces. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday 9th June 2020. No flowers please, donations to Prostate Cancer UK (https://prostatecanceruk.org/get-involved/donate). Due to the current restrictions on the number of people who can attend the funeral and social gatherings a celebration will be held at a later date when restrictions are lifted.

I knew Clive many years ago. Working at Dynotron Kings Lynn. Used to hang out with the band at Hunstanton for band practice Grenada loved the music a shame my only tape chewed up. Visited him once in Nottingham and met the family. A great guy and family man loved his music. My regards to all his family and friends. Michael. (Curley)
