In loving memory of Michael Draycott who sadly passed away on 29th April 2020
If I could write a story it would be the greatest ever told, of a kind and loving father who had a heart of gold.

You meant so much to all of us, you was special and that's no lie, you brighten up the darkest day and even the cloudiest sky.
Your smile alone warmed many hearts, your laugh was like music to hear. We would give anything to have you well and here.
You was always there for us to gently light our way, we learnt from you what it meant to be "loyal to the bone!"

I will remember all he taught us. I am hurt but won't be sad, because he'll send me down the answers and he'll always be our dad.
No farewell words was spoken, no time to say goodbye. You were gone before we knew it and we still can't come to terms why?
Not a second passes when you're not on our minds. Your love we will never forget, the hurt will ease in time...

But until that time, keep dancing in the sky.

You are at finally at peace now dad, even if it's before your time. I'll keep your memory alive always, and turn my pain into power for you now! I'm sorry I didn't do all I could do for you, but I'll spend the rest of my life making sure the memory of you is with us always, and always give 100% . Keep dancing in the sky, I'll see you soon. Your loving, gobby, stubborn daughter xxx Nat xxx

Our dad, "Michael Draycott" 28/7/1944 - 29/04/2020 💙 Please Read 👇
Funeral service will be on Thursday 4th June 10.30 at Gedling Crematorium Catfoot lane Lambley Nottingham NG4 4QH.
The hearse will be leaving Danniels house, 15 Eastcliffe avenue Gedling at 10am

😔Unfortunately as you can probably guess we are restricted on the number of people that are allowed to attend...So sadly this means we have to ask you not to attend the actual service unless asked by myself or danniel (family & close friends already know this and who you are) Thank you. x

🙏What you all CAN be a part of and more than welcome to do, should you wish to do so is: To see the Hearse / Dad off from danniel house before it leaves at 10am... As we have arranged for a full funeral cortege & procession ( Where somebody walks in front slowly for so long, and we will follow in our own cars as not having family cars)
I'm not 100% which route it will take but I presume down Arnold lane and then onto Lambley lane.
🙏Anybody at all is welcome to witness this with mine and Danniels blessings...whether you knew our dad personal or just wish to support myself, Danniel, Charlette and family ...Lets give our dad (DJ Mick!) the last journey that he deserves.

🙏 We also ask you not to mourn dad by wearing Black, but to celebrate his life with your best dressed outfits please.
Danniel words was "smart & casual" but I am saying "Dress for a wedding or christening"
I think you get the gist haha.

💐 Flowers - Yes, they are allowed and we are having our own personal ones, but again with the restrictions in place it seems such a shame at the moment that nobody will get to see them and they are taken down after 2 days also. What we'd kindly like you to remember is there is always the option of making a small donation to the dementia awareness charity should you wish to do so. This is your personal choice as myself and Danniel do not have any preference either way but appreciate your kind offers thank you.
If you do want to send them he advised the night before or early morning to: co.op funeral care mapperley.

I will also have a detailed copy of the order of service tomorrow from the celebrant conducting the service. If anybody wants a email copy just let me know as this is a nice touch to be able to feel like you are with us virtually on the day, by following along in your own way but at the same time as us.

❤️And lastly I will be holding my own small private wake afterwards at my house for my very nearest and dearest (you know who you are) to toast and raise a glass to to my dad.

On behalf of myself, Danniel, Charlette, and the rest of the family I want to say thank you for your continued support, kind words and all the help you have given us over the last few weeks as we definitely couldn't have done it without you. ☺️

{ I will update & change any more info to this post, so please check details. That way I don't get to stressed repeating myself too much and forgetting things.
Thank you, Nat x}
