In loving memory of Lucy Jane Gibbins our beautiful, brave daughter & sister who sadly passed away from the effects of pneumonia on Saturday 23rd May 2020 aged 22 at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital after a short illness. She was COVID negative.

Although only 22 Lucy affected many people in her lifetime. Lucy was a very special young lady:

- She was special to her parents Jackie and Jonathan who loved and cared for her every day of her life and who feel privileged to have been chosen to be her parents.
- She was special to her brother Daniel with whom she shared a special bond.
- She was special to her grand-parents Ann and Don, her aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, cousins and the rest of the family.
- She was special to her friends at The Hub and The Hamlet.
- She was special to all those people who have known her all her life as friends of the family.
- She was special to all her carers, overnight respite providers, and the people who supported Lucy and her family. A special mention to her current carers Jasmine, Ellie, Louise and Ella who became part of the family and always will be.
- She was special to everyone else who had the privilege of knowing her and sharing her journey.

The family would like to thank all the health care professionals, and there were many, who gave their support during Lucy's life.

Lucy leaves behind many special memories. "To know her was to love her". She will be deeply missed and forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. If you were lucky enough to be present when she laughed or smiled you will know how this would brighten up the room and lift everyone's spirits. She taught us all so much. Her strength and determination got Lucy and us through many difficult times and she fought so many battles in her life but this was just one too many.

If only we could turn back time for just one more smile, touch or hug, squeeze of the hand, one more time with her face tilted towards the sun.

Treasure those you love. You never know when life will change. Life can change so fast, so unexpectedly. Love those around you, when you can, while you can, as much as you can.

Miss you Lucy Lou and love you always.
xxxxx

Red for your love for your silver foil scrunched
Orange for every bag of wotsits when it crinkled and crunched

Yellow for special sunbeams you would turn your cheek and smile
Green for your garden the birds to stop and listen a while

Blue for all the bubbles in your favourite jacuzzi bath
Purple for the sweet sound of your giggles and laughs

Pink for every cherished soft touch as you held my hand tight
A rainbow for your everlasting spectrum of love and of light
