In loving memory of Andy Weetman who died in hospital in 20/5/2020 aged 61 after a tragic accident at home.
I know many of you will have read Natalies tribute poem which she wrote for both herself and Lizi. Thankyou for all your lovely comments. It is a lovely poem which shows how much they admired and loved their dad.
Lizi has been sad not to have been able to express her own feelings in writing. However I wanted you to know that she has been able to find just the right words many times over the last few weeks. Funny, kind and thoughtful. He would be proud of you. Xx
Thankyou to everyone for your continued support for myself , natalie, Lizi and Kath.
Also many of you will know about the tribute from Andys workmates and friends when they cycled 100miles around Derbyshire in his memory. He would have loved the challenging hills and the banter. We were proud to be the support team.
Lastly Lizi’s partner Dan will be cycling from derby to Falmouth 20-24 July where we will be giving Andy a final send off in one of his favourite places. It is over 300miles. He has already raised over £2000 towards our chosen charities. Brilliant effort.

Legends Live On – by Natalie Weetman
There’s a party up in heaven,
Of that we are quite sure,
You took your final bow too soon,
We wanted an encore
Days spent upon the beach,
With lots of Weetman fun,
Concerts, parties, Sunday roasts,
We definitely weren’t done
He was the greatest showman,
He lit up every room,
Making quite the entrance,
There was never any gloom
You supported our adventures,
And you were always there,
We were so proud of our mad dad,
Our legendary Poppa Bear
Now it’s time for us to stand,
And shine in your spotlight,
Because we are both half of you,
And two wrongs make a right!
You gave us all your best bits,
Although I got your nose,
We inherited your sense of fun,
Poor Lizi got your toes!
I feel sad for all the people,
Who never knew our dad,
Whether it was for minutes or years,
It was the best fun you could have had
Like a true Rockstar, as Queen once sang,
‘Only the good die young’
You had so much life left to give,
And songs still to be sung
So party on with Freddie,
Sing Purple Rain with Prince,
Rock out with Jimmy Hendrix,
We’ll raise a glass and drink
It’s hard to speak in past tense,
And accept that you are gone,
You aren’t really though, we know that,
Because true legends live on
