Violet West (8 Mar 1949 - 24 Apr 2020)

In loving memory of Violet West who sadly passed away on 24th April 2020

Violet was born and raised in Nottingham. She had fond memories about the beach with her mum and dad.

Violet loved Cats. Cats were her love, often talking about Carla and the cat stocking which she buys her at Christmas and when she brought live mice into the home at Collingham. Carla the cat she loved so much when she lived at South Collingham Hall is still doing well there. Joan was still visiting Violet and used to take a cat to see her sometimes.

We have set up a just giving page for Cats Protection. This is instead of a collection at her funeral. The money donated goes straight to Cats Protection. We have asked for the donation to go to the Cats Protection home in Mansfield because the last care home Violet lived in was in Mansfield and it’s in Nottinghamshire where she lived for all her life.

Violet’s funeral has been arranged at the Tithe Green Burial Ground at 12.30pm on Wednesday 3rd June. The funeral Cortege will set off from Forest Care home at 12.10pm
