In loving memory of Barrie Palmer who sadly passed away on 12th May 2020. As many of you may know, Barrie passed away peacefully after enjoying his breakfast last Tuesday morning, 12th May. Barrie had lived a full and wonderful life, full of vitality, loving jazz, great food and classic cars. He enjoyed many roles, and challenges - as chef, mechanic and husband - from parent to great grandparent. He was a vibrant well known character around Westcliff, often fixing people’s cars for nothing, always willing to help. He was very well respected as a Freemason. This all sounds like a cliche and incredibly trite, but everyone always said what a lovely Gentleman he was. Sadly in his last decade Barrie began to loose some of his vitality, and this challenging condition called ‘vascular dementia’ slowly began to affect his quality of life, and ultimately ended his life. We want to take this opportunity for those of you who would have bought flowers to consider giving to the Alzheimer’s charity, by simply clicking the donate button. Thank you sincerely to everyone who loved Barrie or was a friend to him over his long and colourful life. *During these difficult times, numbers are obviously limited, for those of you who would have attended there will be a live webcast, please contact a member of the family for login details, and for the funeral date and time. Many thanks.
