We are heartbroken to say that Pauline passed away on the 30th April.

As many of you know, Mum had been suffering from dementia for some years and had spent the last 3 of those in a specialist care home in Dartford. Mum suffered a stroke and quickly deteriorated in her last few days.

An amazing wife, mother, auntie & nana, Paulines happiest times were being surrounded by family and friends. She would always entertain, producing food for everyone at the drop of a hat. Just like in her Langafel Catering days.

Pauline was so happy to become a mum to Lorraine and Debbie and the later years were filled with joy with the addition of 4 grandchildren, who she adored.

During these strange times, the funeral will just be for the immediate family.

If you wanted to make a donation we are collecting for the Ellenor Hospice, who Mum loved since working for them, and Dementia UK, to support the work for finding a cure to this terrible disease.
This is being managed through the funeral home and the attached link.

We will arrange a memorial at a later date to celebrate the lady that we have lost, and to remember the good times.

Please feel free to share with us any memories of good time’s you had with mum. We would love to hear them.

With thanks,
David, Lorraine & Debbie

I only saw Pauline once, but I considered her a friend. We started our friendship as pen pals when we were in our young teens. I always looked forward to her letters (and later e-mails) to learn about her activities and what was happening with her family

Pauline was formidable. That for me is the perfect word for her!
A working mum, who over the years, my respect has grown uncontrollably for.
A great cook, wonderful host- she made these things look effortless. Most certainly inspired me over the years.
I had known Pauline for over 30 years. I have some wonderful memories... some of them telling me and Lorraine off! Like the time in Lanzarote when we lost the spare apartment key after going out on a night and we had to climb in the apartment window. Like giving Lou money to buy shoes and we would come back with crap from Carnaby Street!
I will always remember her energy... the woman worked so hard... I have an image of her in my mind ironing in the kitchen- getting ready for another busy week.
Pauline was fab with a glass of wine in her! Sometimes the guard even went down and her language would ‘slip!’ Always made me smile!
She was my oldest and best friends mum. And I love her. She welcomed me into her home And family unreservedly, comforted me when I was sad and was strong when I needed a kick.
So sorry Paul, can’t be there to say goodbye. You are forever in my thoughts and memories.
Love you Mrs H.
