Father to Karen, Brian, Danny
Grandfather to Samantha, Sophie, Chloe, Marley
Great grandfather to Harry, Ellie, Fletcher
Lighterman by trade, pioneer in truck driving, Transport manager (Iran, United Kingdom), senior marketing director (USA), English teacher (Brazil)
Barry had a wealth of worldwide experience, he learned to speak Italian during his European trucking days and learned Portuguese during his time teaching in Brazil. Barry was always ready to help everyone he met with good advice and an eager attitude to everything he did. Barry was an inspiration to many people, from truckers stuck somewhere in the Middle East, to the students he taught who went on to have fantastic careers.
Barry had a mischievous smile and a spring in his step, always joking and playing pranks. A good sense of humour, endearing and funny, with many stories of folklore and travel. Barry will be very sadly missed by many people around the world.
