Brenda Elizabeth Tait passed away peacefully on 09 May 2020 at Bassingham Care Centre near Lincoln, aged 83 years. A loving wife to her late husband Kenneth, proud mother of her son Duncan, mother-in-law to Dilys, step-grandmother to Elliott, Harry and Jessica, and a devoted and kind person to all of her friends. She always had time for people, loved cats, was good to all who knew her, and she listened and helped where she could. Brenda was much loved, a truly kind and gentle lady, who will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.
Regrettably, due to current social restrictions, only closest family are able to attend the funeral to be held at the Lincoln Crematorium, Lincoln, on Wednesday, 27 May 2020. Please do not travel.
If so desired, donations can be made to the charity Age UK, which will be gladly received.

Duncan, I remember your Mam as being one of the kindest people I have met in life so far, and it has been more than forty years since I met your Mam and Dad through our friendship. I’m so sorry for your loss, especially at a time like this. Best Wishes, Andrew.

Hi Duncan,
I was very sad to hear your news about Aunty Brenda. I have such fond memories of your parents. Your Dad had the most sparkly naughty eyes and you mam was never without a smile, from ear to ear! I was only little but I remember their wedding and their excitement when you were born. They were delighted to have you make up their family. Aunty Brenda was always kind and interested in me, a better God Mother I couldn’t have wished for and with the best hair ever! Fondest memories of a truly lovely lady.
Much love to you and your family, Carol xx

Duncan, we will always have fond memories of our beloved neighbour Brenda. She was a good friend to me and an extremely patient line dancing teacher especially when I didn’t know my left from my right. Both myself, Eddie and Julie all grew closer to your mam following the sad passing of your dad. She was a very kind and caring lady who enjoyed taking in any stray cat that passed her garage. She has been a great miss from the street since she moved but both her and your dad will always be remembered, as will “Dunbreken”.

Duncan. Your Mam was simply wonderful. Your house was always a home to us all. We were always welcome, she never tired of our mischief and always met it with a smile. So many fond memories to treasure, so very sad to lose her. Lots of love Viola, Katy and Stephen xxx

Dear Duncan, Dilys, Elliott, Harry and Jessica. We're so sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of those heady days of 1980s Chester-le-Street when we used your house as a pavilion after playing cricket all day on the green and your mum supplying us with juice and a friendly smile. Much love, Andy, Jenny, Eloise & Alice x
