'Ted'
In loving memory of Robert Edward (Ted) Nesling who sadly passed away at Queen's Hospital on 1st May 2020, aged 93 years.

Devoted husband to Edna, loving father to Rita and Shirley. A special father in law, grandad, great grandad, uncle and friend. Family flowers only.

Ted was welknown in Burton for entertaining people for many years playing the organ at venues such as The Copperhearth, Branston Gate and The Cock Inn at Hanbury. Although in recent years Ted didn't play to the public he continued to play at home.

Regrettably, the family are unable to invite you to attend his service but should rules change we will notify you via this website. Also there will be a videolink to the service. Pease contact Shirley if you wish to receive the link

Ted was a wonderful man, full of interesting stories and a fabulous musician who really knew how to entertain people. His devotion and pride in his family was obvious whenever you spoke to him. It was an absolute pleasure to know him.

Ted, we will miss you - you were a great family man. I enjoyed chatting with you on the telephone, and years earlier seeing you when you came down to Suffolk, in particular Bedfield. You had a very interesting life and your love of the countryside and farming was important to you. Your musical talent was exceptional - you entertained so many people and brought a smile to their faces. You must have seen many changes in your life, and you achieved many milestones in your long and happy marriage -
It was been an honour knowing you.
Richard and Mary

I miss you so much grandad, I wish you didn’t have to leave us 💔 I’ll miss so much hearing you happily humming a favourite tune 😔 I have wonderful memories of coming to stay with you in the school holidays, tidying up around you while you worked in the shed on your windmills, visiting family in Suffolk having lots of giggles and spending hours in the ‘front room’ taking it in turns playing the organ.
If I see a Jay bird, I’ll know it’s you ❤️ I’ll never ever forget you, I’ll miss you always, lots of love to you Grandad xxx
