In loving memory of Elizabeth Rose Marie Gray, known as Rose, who sadly passed away on 4th May 2020 at Ladymead Nursing Home having bravely fought a prolonged bout of ill health in recent months.
Rose was the much loved wife of Derek (deceased) and a loving mum to her three children Pauline, Roger and Jeremy. She was a treasured mother- in-law to Ian, Jeanette and Michelle, a much adored grandma to Sam, Josie, Kate, Imogen, Robyn and Lucy as well as a very proud great-grandmother. She is so sadly missed by all her family
When Derek died Rose put all her focus into being there for her family and grandchildren supporting and helping them all in so many ways. Over the years Rose had many health issues but sadly her life took a downward turn in 2016 when a stroke left her partially blind and took away much of her precious independence.
Rose will be greatly missed by all her family and friends and our heartfelt thanks go to all the caring and nursing staff at Ladymead Nursing Home who looked after Rose so well for the last six months of her life.
Due to current circumstances a small private service will take place. However, any donations in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated and will be forwarded to the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB).

To the kindest Grandma of all time, there was never a day you didn’t support us, wish the best for us, or have our backs (usually Lucy’s!). You taught me so much in the 29years I was so lucky to have you, especially Strength. You showed more strength than I can even put into words, and that for one inspires me in a daily basis. Amongst so much else I will carry forward in your honour.
Tomorrow we say goodbye in the best way we can in these strange times.
I love you, sleep tight ❤️
