Mum,
We've had our first family night without you and it was not the same without you. Life is just not the same without you. We miss you so desperately. We all planned to do the Race for Life in memory of you and Jane's lovely Mum, Pat, but the event is cancelled. We are therefore going for a walk instead and will think of you both. This donation is the equivalent of the Race entry fee. Dad has donated too. He misses you as much as we thought he would but we are looking after him. Love you so much Mum. Hope you are resting and looking down on us all with pride. xxxx

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the death of Phyllis Emma McNamara (aged 86), who passed away on Sunday 3rd May 2020 following a short illness which she faced with incredible dignity and courage.
Roy's devoted wife of 67 years, loving Mum of Joy, Jean & Paul, adored Mother-in-law of Graham (deceased), Brian, Mark and Jane, Cherished grandma to Lyndsay, Matthew, Rachel, Stephanie, Benjamin & Millie and great grandma to Owen, Quinn & Imogen and beloved sister of Rosemary and caring friend to many.
The celebration of Phyllis' life will be held at The Crematorium, Weelsby Avenue, Grimsby on Tuesday 19th May 2020 at 10.30am.
SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR ATTENDANCE:-
Due to current "gathering" restrictions, the service will be dedicated to immediate family only ie, Roy, their children and partners, her sister and brother-in-law. Those wishing to attend to show their love and respect may do so BUT attendees will not be able to enter the gates of the crematorium grounds because doing so will result in an immediate family member being unable to take their place for the service. Instead, attendees may greet Phyllis as she is driven to the crematorium gates by lining up along Weelsby Avenue leading up to the gates. Please ensure that social distancing is observed.
Please do not stand near the gates of the crematorium grounds because the family is reserving such area for Phyllis' 6 grandchildren who, because of number restrictions, cannot, unfortunately, enter the crematorium gates and attend the service.
Current restrictions may be relaxed in the days before the service. The family will check for any changes to the restrictions on Monday 18th May, so if you are considering attending, please contact either Joy, Jean or Paul to check the position after 12 noon on Monday. The family respects that some people may wish to continue to isolate and not attend. They know you will be thinking of Phyllis and the family during this difficult period.
Phyllis has specifically requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to MacMillan via the link above. In any event, due to social distancing, there will be no opportunity to view flowers in the garden of remembrance and, sadly, the family will not be able to personally thank attendees.
