“David Ezekel Comrie was a much loved son of Mr Samuel and Mrs Faval Comrie. He was one of 11 siblings whom he loved dearly. David was also a husband, father of 5 children and grandfather to 3 grandchildren- he was part of a large vibrant network of extended family.

David loved God, his family, people, football and music. He was a peaceful, kind, generous person who would go to extreme lengths in order to help people. David was a man of God who loved to read his bible and would often discuss the revelation that was opened up to him as he read it with anyone who would listen! His favourite verse of scripture was Psalm 27:1 “The Lord Is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life of whom shall I be afraid? “

David was a proud Liverpool supporter and fan of John Barnes - his knowledge of football facts was astonishing! David had a very cheeky smile and a charming way that just drew people in, and equally he also had a very serious, no nonsense side to his character where his words were few but he got his message across clearly!

Sadly, David passed into eternity on April 14th 2020 after being terminally ill with cancer and he died as a result of complications due to Coronavirus. David showed amazing faith and courage in his final months of life and although he was physically disabled, he ministered to so many of us.

David lived to see his newborn, third grandchild just a few weeks before he passed away and he delighted in contacting family and friends to share his exciting news. David‘s death is a loss that is difficult to put into words and the current restrictions placed on us by social distancing are very challenging. As part of a very large family and friends network, David will be missed greatly.

We take comfort and encourage you to do the same in the fact that though David is now absent from this life, he is now with his heavenly Father resting in peace."

David is the eldest brother of seven sisters four brothers .David by all accounts served as a older, brother
He stepped in on my wedding day when my father was not able to give me away he visited me with his wife and children when I was I'll.He took me and other sisters away on christian breaks and always supported us when they was a family function he never came empty handed.David was a man of peace he was not confrontational in his approach he would rather let you win a argument rather then end up in a fuss.My 60th birthday is a memory that will last me for my life time David and his dear wife Carol sang then David gave a speech except for he preached a word it to love each other and serving others that was the last time I witness my brother stranding . I was fortunate to visit David when he became I'llin hospital Many exhaultations on God word

David did not hold back he was clear he wanted his family to be United. He talked of Gods love and compassion and unity
That's how he wanted his family his friends to be a reflection of God .David is loved by his wife Carol his sons daughter and grandchildren, his brothers sisters aunts uncle cousins and dear friends .
David we miss you we are looking forward to seeing you again on that happy day in heaven .It is not good bye its good night.
From your sister Caroline
