Mum was a wonderful, kind, caring and giving person. She had an incredible amount of energy and an amazing work ethic, hardly ever resting and always on the go. She was a fantastic mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Giovanni, as well as her children, Maria, Anna, Pat & Mick, together with their partners, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
For most of her working life, mum was a care assistant, which fitted in perfectly with her generous nature, as she was at her happiest when helping someone or looking after her family, especially in the kitchen, cooking for everybody. Mum was an incredible cook, expertly cooking family meals for 15+ people, which was common in our household.
Mum made a lot of sacrifices during her life, being very selfless and always putting others first, often neglecting her own needs and wants, so that her family & friends would be as happy as possible. She was the glue that kept the family together.
Apart from cooking and keeping a very clean, organised and proud home, mum also loved to do needlework and embroidery, which she was very skilled at and it helped her to relax a little after a hectic week at work, cooking, looking after her children and grandchildren and enjoying the company of her great grandchildren.
Mum also loved to travel, having visited a number of countries, including her beloved native Italy, as well as regularly visiting her two brothers, Tony & Libero, in Somerset and also liked to spend time with her other brothers, Vittorio & Pepe and one of her sisters, Carmelina, who all lived close by in Medway. Mum loved to spend as much time as possible in the company of her sister Carmelina and go shopping with her daughters Maria, Anna & Pat.
Mum liked to listen to music, especially old Italian songs from her youth.
In recent years, mum had been suffering a lot with dementia & Alzheimer’s and we pray that she has now found peace and her suffering has ended.
May she Rest in Peace.
