June Corner (8 Jan 1930 - 27 Apr 2020)

Just watched the service.
All our thoughts and love to the family and the Corner boys.

I was truly blessed with a wonderful mother-in-law. Always kind and with a great sense of humour, you accepted and loved us just as you found us, and we could be ourselves with you without being judged. You will always be loved.

I consider myself extremely lucky to have had such a lovely grandmother. You've left us all with many very happy memories. Lots of love from Steve, Donna, Mia and Flo

I will be making a donation towards the art in Musgrove Hospital as mum loved art

I wrote this a while ago not for you but for another. But it feels that this is how it was before the very last I saw of you.

And now I slip past tomorrow back to ‘a la ronde’ where wonder waits for laughter, ice-cream, mum and dad, my brothers and seaside shells (that I can’t say very well).

I cannot look at you, you are in my heart.

Donation in memory of June.

I was so grateful to June for the gift of her friendship, and will miss her company and conversation, her laughter, her calm, good sense and the benign, intelligent interest she took in everyone and everything. She was always kind and compassionate, loved to talk about her many happy memories yet still lived very much in the present with lots of plans for the future. I have lit a candle for her, but she lit one for me too. T hank you, June, and love always. Irene. x
