In loving memory of Graham Clark who sadly passed away on 14th April 2020
Graham Newling Clark was born on 30th November 1937.A son to Richard and Hilda Clark and older brother to Janet.Graham grew up in the wartime era where rationing, air raid sirens and days spent hunting for shrapnel from exploded bombs was quite the norm.He served his country himself when he did national service, coming home to his mother with tattoos was almost as terrifying as his drill sergeant.
Graham was adamant he would remain single, preferring the company of automobiles to ladies. This all changed when he met Janice. She captured his attention and his heart. They had a very long and happy marriage until Janice passed away in 2012.
Many of us worried how Graham would cope without Janice but she would have been immensely proud of him.He kept the house as tidy as Janice ever had and made every effort to look after himself.
Graham had an almost magnetism about him.People gravitated towards him both young and old.Mainly because Graham had time for everyone which in turn meant people wanted to spend time with him.
He was funny, gentle and kind ,a true gentleman that i had the very pleasure of knowing and calling my uncle for many years.Even if i was a source of amusement for him on many occasions when he felt like playing practical jokes on me.On many occasions i found myself looking down the end of a hose pipe before Graham turned it on,soaking me or when he would call in for lunch at my grandmothers and steal my desert from the table.
It has been an honour Graham, you have been one of the most influential men in my life.I shall miss you greatly as my go to person for advice in all areas of life.Sleep well, back in the arms of your love.
