I'm very sorry to inform you that my mum Peggy passed away on April 10th due to natural causes.
This online obituary has been set up for Peggy but in view of the current Covid 19 restrictions, attendance at the funeral has been restricted to David, Roger, myself & Alan.
I would respectfully ask that this be observed by other family and friends in these strange and exceptional times but we would very much welcome your messages, memories, photos, respects and condolences via this web-based obituary. It's very easy to use - give it a go.
Mum made repeated requests to me, whilst in Clipstone Care Home, that she did not want flowers to be sent to the funeral but that any donations be made to Crohn's and Colitus UK.
There is a facility on this website to do this should you wish to make a voluntary donation in memory of mum.
Thank you.
Please note that the order of service for mum will be posted on this obituary on the day of the funeral (5th May) or shortly before. This will enable mum's grandchilden, family members and friends who would have liked to attend the funeral to perhaps light a candle, say a prayer or share a memory or photograph so that you can be with us "in spirit" if not physically. Actual copies of the service will be provided afterwards for anyone who requests same in memory of mum.
We thank you all for your understanding at this time.
Best wishes,
Tony

Mum's service went well. Special thanks to Roger and Rev Jones for the beautiful eulogies. The photos are of the flowers arranged for mum: one each from sons, grandchildren and other relatives/friends. We hope you like them in mum's favourite colours xx

Happy times at the seaside. Making sand castles, going to the lido and the famous fish and chips. Looking for photos of young Alan and Tony with mum and dad? Anyone help?
A moment in time, having a cuddle, naturally..x
Happy memories of mum at the Balcary Bay Hotel. Mum enjoyed getting dressed up and going out for a nice lunch. I will miss our holidays together. Always loved and never forgotten.
My last visit prior to lockdown with Dave to see mum at Clipstone care home on her 95th birthday. She demolished a cupcake in 1 minute & we had a lovely few hours. Xxx
