In loving memory of Margaret Anne Tapley of Stanford in the Vale who sadly passed away at the Great Western Hospital on Sunday 19th April 2020 after a short illness.
Sadly missed by her husband Philip, her children Janet and Colin, Grandchildren,Great Grandchildren, all her family and NHS family.
Margaret continued to work night shifts at Witney Community Hospital until she was taken ill just 9 days before she was taken from us. She wanted to carry on doing what she loved and was committed to.
Margaret’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all her friends, family and colleagues, and even those who did not know her personally, for all their kind words and messages of sympathy, they are greatly appreciated. Margaret would have been humbled by all the accolades but proud to have been so respected.
If you would like to take time to remember Margaret, her funeral will be on Thursday 7th May, the day before what would have been her 85th birthday. Due to current restrictions, attendance at the funeral will be close family only.
Margaret had many animal charities that she regularly supported. Redwings Horse Sanctuary has been chosen as the charity to be supported in her memory as she liked to visit the charity at Oxhill near Stratford Upon Avon and meet some of the rescue horses and donkeys. If you would like to make a donation in Margaret’s memory, there is a link on this page or donations can be made to Redwings Horse Sanctuary via Pearce Funeral Services.
Reunited with Saffie and her other much loved family, friends and pets who have gone before her.

Remembering all the good times, how you enjoyed chatting to everyone, making sure they are all OK and putting the world to rights. You are very much missed by all your family and we are all missing your telephone calls, especially your sisters Barbara and Sylvia. Reunited with your brothers Ted and David. You are in our prayers. xx

Remembering you today Mum on what would have been your 85th birthday. As the country celebrates the VE Day 75th Anniversary, I remember you telling us how you listened to Alvar Lidell on the BBC radio, at 9pm on the eve of your 10th birthday, make the announcement of victory in Europe and that Churchill would speak to the country at 3pm the following day. I know you will be pleased for the horses to be sent some bales of hay in your memory.Rest in Peace with Saffie, much love, Janet x

Beautiful Margaret, whom I have known for 16 years, both as a friend and colleague. You are such a special lady who is loved by all. We put the world to rights with our chats and met up with our other friends for lunch, we both went to see Swan Lake Ballet which we loved. Our mutual love for all creatures, especially cats and dogs was astounding. Be at peace my dear friend Margaret as I can see you smiling upon all who love you.
Thinking of you and your lovely family.
Bless you all from Lorna and Alan.

You will be greatly missed by all who new you and worked with you . I will miss your amazing stories and words of wisdom . All the wildlife you fed and nurtured in your garden , seeing pictures of hedgehogs , pheasants and muntjacs that would appear for an apple . Such a kind and beautiful soul .
