Grandad, I love you so much and that will never stop. There wasn’t enough time spent together with you, but I will cherish every memory. I remember you always sneaked me an extra dessert treat to make me happy, and I am so grateful to have had you in my life. Miss you and Love you forever ❤️

Rest in Peace Allan.
As one of Becky’s closest friends during childhood, I spent lots of afternoons after school at yours and Jan’s house. You always made us laugh, took us on regular trips to the park down the road, helped us with jigsaws at the dining room table and brought us fish & chips when we asked.
I’ll always remember you as the happy, cheerful, wonderful man that you were. You treated me like one of your own grandchildren and I always felt at home at your house.
I know you will be sadly missed by your family and friends.
Lots of love, Smiler, Yes I still remember my nickname :) xxx

Uncle Allan x
I was so deeply saddened to hear the news of you leaving us. I know you had been a little unwell for a while now, and you would sometimes forget who I was, but I never forgot who you were, and who you were to me, and what you did for me.
I remember you showing me your birds, the first time I was a little scared, but you were so excited with a big smile on your face, so I felt much more at ease. I loved playing in the back of our houses, I always felt like your house was mine too, so I could always play there as well! You built a gate for me and my younger siblings when you heard my sister had run out on to the road. My parents felt a lot better knowing we could play safely now.
Most importantly, the reason why I loved you and auntie jan, and your children and your granddaughters so much, was because, honestly, we faced a lot of racism on that road. But you and your family never ever made us feel like we were different. Or that we didn’t belong. I want to thank you, and hope that there are more people like you in this world.
Rest in peace, uncle Allan.
Lots of love,
Amna xx

A true gentleman and the absolute definition of what a Man should be. So obvious for everyone to see that you were a great dad a great grandad and a great, great grandad. We still think there are not enough "greats" in this paragraph to describe you
I enjoyed out chats in the Market and i will always remember you as a proud, upstanding man.
