In loving memory of Peter Ellis who sadly passed away on 23rd March 2020
Peter was a kind-hearted and thoughtful man whose great passion in life was for music, of all kinds. He would spend hours talking about and listening to various artists, especially his beloved jazz. He was particularly proud of the fact that he had served in the Army and been part of the band for the Devonshire and Dorset Regiment - he had in the last few years re-connected with old friends and played at reunions and at the unveiling of the Regiments Memorial at the National Arboretum at Alrewas.
He has been living in Birmingham for almost 40 years - but was still a Devon boy at heart. He always talked fondly of his childhood and maintained a long term friendship with Mel Dadswell.
Peter loved his family and although he didn't get to see much of them due to not living locally, he often talked about them. He was also proud of both of his daughters and loved to hear about their achievements and was happy to see them settled.
Peter will be a much missed part of our family and will always be remembered for his compassion and thougthfulness along with his love for music and Cornish pasties
RIP Peter xxx
