John Graham (24 Jul 1936 - 10 Apr 2020)

In loving memory of John Graham who sadly passed away on 10th April 2020.

"Our father was admitted to the Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham on Wednesday 8 April 2020 after having become unwell at the care home where he'd been in residence for the last three years suffering with dementia. Tests were performed in the hospital where sadly it was confirmed he had contracted the coronavirus. Unfortunately his condition deteriorated suddenly from Wednesday onwards and he passed peacefully into spirit on the morning of Good Friday, a beautiful day to pass. We were deeply moved by the sensitivity and professionalism of the Doctors and Nursing staff on the ward who kept us fully informed of our father's conditon during his brief stay.

We take lasting comfort in the knowledge that our father is now joyfully reunited with his own beloved parents and sisters, mercifully free from the debilitating limitations of dementia and the indignity of not being able to care for himself, something he was always scrupulous about. His cremation is due to take place on Tuesday 21 April 2020 at 9:30am at Gedling Crematorium and a Christian prayer will be said for him by a member of the clergy who will be in attendance in the absence of both my mother and myself as we are self-isolating."
