In loving memory of John Doe who sadly passed away on 7th April 2020
Born in London as an identical twin in 1942, John and his twin brother Dave were inseparable, they were truly identical, even his grandkids would exclaim in amazement 2 grandads! As kids they would leave a trail of mischief wherever they went! John married Maureen and had 2 children Tina and Susan. They left London to settle in Derbyshire.
John was a hard worker all of his life and worked hard to give his family a good life. He and Maureen enjoyed their holidays abroad and always came home having made lots of new friends. He was a funny guy with a big heart.
John had 3 grandchildren who he treated like his own, he and Maureen would take Susan and the grandchildren Joanna, Stephen and Karly on holiday to Cornwall mostly, every year. John would spend hours looking for shells and hunting in the rock pools with the grandchildren.
He would spend hours making up and telling stories to Joanna as a baby who would remember every word!
John then went on to have 2 horses, Bessie and Zar, he and Tina would ride regularly and he taught all 3 grandkids how to ride and get them mucking out the stables!
John was also a keen fisherman and would joke he would just pull them out of the water!
Maureen would say that John was obsessed with every sport, bar football and he would watch them all on the TV much to her dismay.
John leaves so many lovely memories with his family, he was truly the head of the family and he will be very sadly missed. He is now reunited with his loving wife who he never got over loosing in 2005.
May he rest in peace xxxx
