I was really sorry to hear that Marjory had passed away. I am Alan's cousin. They were both older than me, and I always looked up to them. Marjory was always very welcoming when myself and my family went to Slaithwaite, which we did every Boxing day for quite a few years, Something we all looked forward to . She will be missed by everyone who knew her. She was lovely. My condolences to Andrew and Mark.

Kevin Grady donated £25 in memory of Marjory

I have very happy memories of Alan and Marjorie. Alan was my cousin -- his father Stan Coates was my mother Winnie's 'big brother' (he was 18 years older than her). So Alan and Marjorie were very much my older cousins being about 15 years older than me. My first real memories of them are when they moved to Rugby when I was about 10, and they frequently visited my family in Quinton, Birmingham and vice versa, first with Andrew and then Mark when he was born. My parents were very fond of Alan and Marjorie and family and loved having them to stay over the years, and took a close interest in their activities.
I very much liked and admired Marjorie for her warmth, positivity and sense of humour and her willingness to have a go at anything, which continued all her life. She will be a greatly missed cousin to the Grady and Mills families.

Shelagh Mills donated £25 in memory of Marjory

I have fond memories of staying with Alan and Marjorie in their caravan in Rugby when I was younger, and looking forward to their visits to our home with Andrew and Mark as they grew up. On trips to Yorkshire with my husband, Derek, to visit cousins in more recent years, we were always warmly welcomed by Marjorie and her family. She will be sadly missed.
Condolences to all the family from Shelagh and Derek

Dear Sister, so sad that you left us at this strange time in our Country. Not being able to pay our respects in person is hard to bear but a reflection of the restrictions we all are under. I will carry the happy memories of you in my heart. Rest in Peace.
