What a lovely and happy man Donald was. We will miss him sitting on his bench and telling his jokes
and funny little stories and tales of his little adventures either shopping or at appointments. He had the gift of being able to make you smile and weve always enjoyed our time in both his and Doreens company. He'll be sadly missed, but there are some lovely family photos here that will provide lots of happy memories and I'm sure that's how Donald would want to be remembered as a happy family man and always with a smile .....for everyone. Miss you Donald

  • I was lucky enough to serve on the committee of UHWMC under Donald's presidency for a few years. I remember him guiding our debates with humour, whilst adopting his usual gentle, yet firm, approach. Downstairs, away from committee business, we enjoyed many pleasant hours together over all fours or 5's & 3's. After our emigration to Holland, it was always a pleasure to catch up with him and my lasting memory of him will be his smile. Our thoughts are with you all at this extremely testing time. David B

Condolence and prayers for you. Donald was a great and well respected colleague at St John Fisher's, part of the old faithful team. Spent many many a lunchtime playing cards with him, Bill, Dave, John, Terry, no end of laughs and Mickey taking. Rest in peace Don, I will raise a pint to you tonight and have a mass said in your honour. All my love to Doreen and 'kids'.
