Martha Bailes (25 Jul 1928 - 7 Apr 2020)

Very fond memories of Pattie – always remembered as a proudly independent & wise lady, with a wealth of worldly knowledge. So lovely to talk with about each other’s families & life in general.
Happy days seeing Pattie, Charles, Victoria and Andrew visiting Auntie Martha & Uncle John at Rose Cottage, Highcliffe.

I will greatly miss my Aunty Pat. There from my earliest memories. Always elegant and laughing and great fun to talk to. My first visit away from home at the age of 7 (?) was to stay with her and Uncle Chas and a very young Victoria in Fawley.
Back then in the 5o's travelling to family events wasn't so common but the Bailes family always came to Bowes Road. I loved those visits.
