In loving memory of William Jeffrey Whittemore who sadly passed away on 17th March 2020.

Our dad, known only as Bill or Billy when he was younger. He grew up loving music and usually the swinging 60’s was his favourite.

Dad lost his own dad when he was 13 and his mom over 34 years ago.

Dad was an engineer for years at MCL machine tools until he decided to have a complete career change and started working at the hotel where he became a part of the furniture and made some great friends.

He had four children in total 3 boys and the youngest a girl (me) dad had always wanted a family and gave everything to his family but asked for nothing in return. Dad had 7 grand children in total from the ages 18-5 not bad considering he was only 60.

Dad was a great dad - we had many karaoke nights with our favourite being Grease. We both had a love for musicals with the West Side Story and Buffy the vampire slayer being a few of his favourite.

When we were younger we used to go on holiday for 3 weeks at Christmas to Gran Canaria - we have many great memories with dad teaching us to do hand stands under water and him having a barcadi and coke at the poolside.

Dad also was a big Christmas lover and we would often find his Christmas tree up in October and him singing Christmas songs with snacks on the table for when people came to visit.

Dad was a simple man who didn’t care for extravagant things - as long as he had enough for fags/food and booze he was set for the night. Dad came from a time where you smoked in the house and you taught your kids how to roll a cigarette. That was his generation.

Dad was one in a million and will be missed xxxx
