In loving memory of Grenville Eric Archer who sadly passed away on 28th March 2020.

A loving Brother, Dad, Uncle, Grandad, Great Grandad and Friend.

He was our safe place. His home was our home and he was there offering words of encouragement whenever we needed it.
A strong, loving and selfless man putting everyone else's best interests before his own. His family meant the world to him and we all idolised him. Things weren't real unless you had spoken to him about it first.

He loved his fishing and was a big cheerleader for paintballing and loved going to watch the tournaments take place making many friends whilst there. He could make a friend within five minutes of being somewhere new and we'd joke that if there was no one there to talk to he'd be having a chat with a lamp post!

Although he has not been well over the recent years he has been a true fighter, taken everything in his stride and now he deserves to be able to rest.

Forever and always ❤️

To the family of Grenville. I am so sorry for your loss. I have many great memories of him. We would make each other laugh. I always think of him. I did a search on him and this web site came up. I am truly hurt. A remarkable, wonderful person has left us. He will be truly missed by me.

  • Hi Neil, Thank you for your kind words, he has left a huge void in all our lives but hearing memories from people that knew and loved him has been comforting. I hope you dont mind me asking how you knew my dad, it's been impossible for us to be able to trace everyone who knew him as he would make friends everywhere he went. Thank you again, Lizzy.

  • Hello Lizzy. I was there the 26th of December 2003 till 17th of February 2004. I came from USA to see Diane. He was just a great, great guy. We always made each other laugh. On a visit to see him he wasn't feeling good. He said he had a bad headache. I got him laughing. He said it hurt when he laughed but he couldn't help it. He said I was to funny. I truly miss him. Again, tell the family I am so so sorry for their loss of a remarkable person.
