In loving memory of Elizabeth Mary Hillier who sadly passed away on 19th March 2020. Please note that even though the funeral arrangements are displayed on this page, due to the current circumstances only 10 people are allowed to attend the funeral-which will be immediate family only.

Elizabeth was a loving daughter, sister, wife and mum. Terry and Elizabeth had been together for 36 years and celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in June 2019. They have 2 children together, Leanne and Connor. Elizabeth loved her plants and flowers and spent most of her spare time in her garden. Please use this page to share any memories and/or photos that you may have of Elizabeth. As some of you may already know, Elizabeth was in Intensive Care at St Thomas' Hospital for 8 weeks where she received outstanding care and treatment. Liz, you were so welcoming to me when I first started teaching at Kingswood in 2008. I taught Connor before school that year and it was wonderful to see the support and love you gave him. All through his school career you told me how he was doing and it was obvious that were so proud of his achievements and of Leanne's as well. You had such a special way with the children, caring and calm and I always knew you were a special teacher and loving person. You will be sorely missed by everyone at Kingswood and my heart goes out to your lovely family. I hope their happy memories of you will comfort them.

I can not express in words how I felt when I was told of the news that Liz had passed away.

Liz we have worked together for many many years at Kingswood, we always sat opposite each other at the table in the staff room at break time, laughing and talking about how our day was going so far. We did playground duties together, we were in class together and went on trips together. Sometimes you would say words and phrases that I had never heard before, I always started laughing with tears running down my face, you always explained them to me, I can't even remember what they were so I could share, my mind has gone blank right now as I am writing this message. 😐
There was a place that you said you went to with your friends and family called Calvary Bar Bistro, you said you will take me there one day but unfortunately it was not to be. Writing this is so difficult we were a kingswood family, ❤ it was a pleasure working with you. You always spoke about how proud you were of your family Terry, Leanne and Connor. I'm sure I was Connors T.A, it has been so long I can't remember.

It is so hard to say a final good bye, good bye to your smile, laughter and our conversations.😂. God bless you Liz.

My condolences and prayers go out to Terry, Leanne and Connor through this difficult time. xxx

I first met Liz when our children ended up in the same classes together at Kingswood Primary. Liz always seemed to be a beacon of calm whether it was in the dining hall or in the chaos of the playground. She was never without a smile for anyone and I remember her having such a hearty laugh. What I will miss are the odd occasions that we managed to meet, me coming home from work and Liz just having left school to go home, when we would catch up and chat a little and always about our children.

Booker T. Washington once said 'Those who are happiest are those who do most for others'. That was so true of you Liz for everyone who crossed paths with you. Thank you for all your kindness as well as generosity of spirt and your beautiful soul which will live on through Leanne and Connor.

Our thoughts are with Terry, Leanne and Connor at this sad time. Sending love to you all.

With love from Mags, Paul, Christopher, Alex and Hanna

My Darling wife Elizabeth
Today has been the hardest day of my life having to say goodbye to you, I came to the Chapel of rest this morning to say goodbye, then said goodbye again this afternoon for the very last time when we laid you to rest. We had a wonderful 36 years together, we had good times and tough times and we’re always there for each other and always came through stronger.
I cannot put into words the heartbreak that I am feeling right now.
You were taken from us too soon and when you left a part of me went with you that I will never get back. I would give everything to have just one more kiss, one more cuddle, or just to hear you moan at me again for pulling out one of your flowers because I mistook it for a weed like I often did, and when I put your daffodils in the fridge thinking they were spring onions, I can’t say what you called me but you almost wet yourself laughing 😂.
Thank you for our 2 beautiful children that you gave me, you was a brilliant mum to Leanne and Connor and a brilliant wife to me. Give my mum and dad a big kiss from me.
Sleep tight my darling, love you always and forever, you will always be in my heart. xxx
