Lilian Stanley (13 Oct 1927 - 20 Mar 2020)

In loving memory of Lilian Stanley, who sadly passed away on 20th March 2020, aged 92 years.

How can we describe this beautiful lady. She was a wonderful Grandma, Great Grandma, Sister, Auntie, a friend to many but most of all she was our wonderful Mum. She was a very loving, caring, wise, generous and hardworking lady and she unselfishly and devotedly brought up her 9 children in a small 3 bedroomed house. She was very proud of all of her children. She was almost a single parent a lot of the time, whilst her beloved Bob was away at sea. She had the knack of feeding all her children and anybody else who dropped in all from just one roast chicken. She loved her bingo and a little flutter on the horses and her crossword ability was to be marvelled at. She was very strong and resilient until the end. Defying all the odds, she fought so hard until she could fight no longer and Bob called her name. Rest in peace our wonderful Mum.
