In loving memory of Michael (Mike) Turner who sadly passed away on 14th March 2020. Due to the latest government restrictions due to Corona virus, Mike had a private funeral on April 1st attended by close family members. Mike had family and many friends not just in this country but all over the world. We hope a celebration of Mike's life will take place later in the year. Mike will be missed by all who knew him
Mike was a great friend to my brother Nigel. They met back in the 60s in New Zealand and hit it off straight away and kept in touch until Nigel's untimely passing in 2011. Mike was a genuinely nice guy and had a great sense of humour. I know this is a bit late, but I only just found out about Mike's passing, what with all the palarva of the last few years. I expect Mike would have seen the funny side of the funeral date. Rest in peace Mike.

A donation was received from Dorothy Maguire, the widow of Mike's old neighbour and good pal Mike Maguire. This has been sent direct to Prostate Cancer UK.
Caroline Lazenby donated a sum in Mike's name to International Animal Rescue, being particularly concerned about the plight of captive bears. This UK-based charity rescues many animals from suffering and Mike would approve wholeheartedly of such a worthy cause.
I'll miss ("Watcha Pete") our regular phone chats, Mike. You were magnificent company and a fine cartoonist.
Mike's good friends George and Sylvia Walters who live in Sydney, Australia have donated to an Australian Bone Cancer charity in Mike's memory, as have their brother/sister Jack and Hilda Barraclough.

I first met Mike when a group of us shared studio space at the start of our artistic careers and he has remained a true friend ever since. He was always so wise, so upbeat and so kind and I miss him greatly.
Mike was a very dear friend of both of us. We made a big effort to visit and spend time with him every time we visited the UK from New Zealand where we spent many happy times with him when we were all young. Your friendship was highly valued. You will always be remembered and sadly missed dear Mike.
You are a rare gem who was very simple in values and very contented, but open to learn from others and work with them. With us you started the first ever cartoon strip in a global Jain magazine, Jain Spirit, making a 'serious' culture humane and accessible. Through this you touched many hearts all over the world without even meeting them. May your soul rest in eternal peace. Om Shanti. Your art, creativity and humour will live on forever.

Mike (or Uncle Mike as we always called him) was an old friend of my dad’s. I have such fond memories of him as a child, always so kind and so so funny. Rest In Peace Uncle Mike. Love Helen x
