Lucy Ann Broaders (28 Oct 1953 - 21 Apr 2015)

In loving memory of the late Lucy Ann Broaders (nee Froggatt) from Langley Mill who sadly lost her battle with cancer on 21st April 2015 at the Derby Royal.

Daughter of Charles (Charlie) and Joan (nee Smedley) Froggatt. Lucy was born and bred in Heanor (Tag Hill) before marrying Eddy at Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints Eastwood (That she was a member of) and moving for a short time to Marlpool where she sadly lost Marie at the age of 4. Then on to Langley Mill where she spent the rest of her life. She worked at Aristoc, Morleys, star nails and other various sewing jobs she enjoyed.

Lucy enjoyed knitting like no other as well as many other crafty pieces. Her favourite artists/actors were Elvis Presley, the shadows and Patrick Swayze who she fancied to bits! She was always up for a giggle especially at christmas which she always spent with immediate family out of which she took much joy from spending time with her grandchildren.

Lucy is survived by her Husband Eddy, daughter Su Broaders; her children Jade, Leon,Megan and Nathan Lacey. Her sister Rose and husband Michael Hutsby; sons Peter and Carl, and many other nieces and nephews.

The funeral is at Swanwick Crematorium at 2pm on Tues 19th May followed by a wake at Langley Mill Miners Welfare for close family and friends only as food will be provided very kindly by the team at the Welfare.
The family has requested family flowers only please and any donations to be made to Cancer Research as this is a charity close to Eddy and Lucy's hearts having both battled with it.
