In loving memory of the late Peter Killick who sadly passed away on 25th April 2015
Peter a beloved partner to Dee and father to sons James and Andrew, lived in Bermondsey until he passed away at the age of 73year,after a brave battle against cancer.
Pete was born on the Kirby Estate, Jamaica Road during the war years.
He loved his local area, close community ties and family who lived locally, his sisters Carol and Shirley are Bermondsey girls all within short distance of each other.Peters brother Bill moved to Kent a few years ago.
Pete spoke about the great times he spent in Southwark Park playing for many hours, the family,as many Bermondsey families did travelled to Kent,to the Hop farms. These times were happy ,full of hard work but no one minded, they were out in the sunshine and fresh air.
After trying a variety of jobs he became a Mini Cab driver he did this for over twenty years, making a great deal of long standing friends not only locally, but from abroad.
Cornwall was his favourite holiday destination,a place where he could unwind,Dee's home County.
Many fond memories of good food, wonderful company and a few beers! He hated flying ! So kept his feet on terra firma.
Pete was happiest with his home comforts, good company and being around people he loved and knew.
I will miss your loving ways, kindness and company, always in my memory.
God Bless my Darling.
We will have a box for you to place your donations in at the crematorium for both of the chosen charities,as well as on line.
Peter choose two charities, as you see only one has been written in ,the other one is Pelynt Methodist Chapel where my mother worshiped,Pete really wished money to be donated to this chapel in the small village I was brought up in as a child,he loved my Mum and the village, this is his tribute to them both.
We all love flowers,Pete did,but for today he would like one tribute of flowers to be placed on his coffin
From James and myself,he felt it so important to support worthwhile causes,we hope you would agree.
Thanks you all so much Dee & James xx
