David Morley donated £10 in memory of Shirley

This donation is from Hazel, Shirley's friendly salesperson in Bon Marche, Crawley.
Up until the last few months, Shirley was a very regular visitor to the shop, and purchased some of her nicest tops there. So, thank you Hazel for your donation and kindness to Shirley over the years. Dave xx

Photo taken 1986/87 when we got snowed in and Shirley stayed with us in South Godstone so she could get into work in the Motorway Room the following day. I'm not sure she could get home in any case due to all the hills!

  • I heard many times of Shirley's impromptu snow-break in South Godstone. I know she was very grateful at the time as her new little Nova was buried in the snow at the Motorway Room car park. Dave xx

  • Thank you for your generous donation Jill and Ron. Shirley didn't get out once her condition worsened, but I had to update her if we had had a chat whilst walking up the road, and I got told off for taking too long to get the papers. Dave.

  • Thank you Pauline, it was very difficult to get a photo of Shirley, she was somewhat camera-shy, but that's a good one, showing her lovely smile. You were a great support to her as well, she always looked forward to seeing you and visiting Dunelm! Love Dave xx
