Richard was a fantastic brother in law and uncle, and he and Vanessa made a wonderful couple. He has been taken way too early and will be very sadly missed.

Vince (my husband) took early retirement from MOD in 1995 and in 1996 we moved to Saundersfoot to begin a new life in Pembrokeshire. I was posted to the RMAS at Pembroke Dock and after a short while, began working for Richard. Richard helped me to settle in to the new job in no time. He was not only a great boss who always had your back , he was also a wonderful genuine person who was much respected by all of his colleagues. It has been a real privilege to have known him and been able to have called him our friend.
To all those who knew him, the world will be a much sadder place now that he is no longer with us.
Sending lots of love and our deepest sympathies to Vanessa. Not everyone gets to find the kind of true love that Richard and Vanessa shared. God Bless, Eileen XXXX
I was obviously introduced to Richard and Vanessa by my wife but agree with all she has said. During the brief times I spent with Richard I always found him to be a gentle and caring person. His memory will live on in our home. Vince.
