In loving memory of Jennifer Violet Davies, much loved wife, mum and grandma who sadly passed away on 26th January 2020 at the age of 73.

Jennifer devoted herself to her family, providing unconditional love, guidance, support and care. Her love of family days out, shopping trips and get-together's, often incorporating a cup of coffee and piece of cake, have provided us with some wonderful moments and special memories.

Jennifer was warm and generous to those she met and was always ready to offer advice and support. Her unfaltering faith, positive outlook and determination enabled her to face cancer head on and she will be greatly missed by us all.

Jennifer’s faith was a guiding force in all that she did. She was an active member of St Margaret’s Church Rainham for nearly 50 years, taking on a range of roles throughout that time, in particular supporting and leading the Mothers’ Union.

Her drive for improvement, innovative thinking and strong leadership in her career as a teacher and in later years, as a Head Teacher, enhanced the young lives of countless children throughout Medway and Kent. Her influence as a driving force within education led her to work with the Local Authority, Rochester Diocese and to lobby Members of Parliament, as she endeavoured to give children the best possible start in life.

After the Funeral Service in St Margaret's Church the family warmly invite you to join them for light refreshments at Upchurch Golf Club, Oak Lane Upchurch, Kent, ME9 7AY, where they will join you after a private committal service at The Garden of England Crematorium in Bobbing.

Family flowers only please as per Jennifer's wishes. If you wish to make a donation to either of Jennifer's chosen charities, they may be made using the Just Giving Link on this page or by cheque. Please make any cheques payable to either "Friends of The Wisdom Hospice" or "The Children's Society". Please ensure you write 'Jennifer Davies' on the back and attach details of your name and address to the cheque. Please send the cheques c/o John Weir Funeral Directors, 130-132 High Street, Rainham, Kent, ME8 8AR. Telephone No: 01634 373111.

Such lovely messages and photos. Jenny was such a special lady, a brilliant deputy head with me, a superb teacher and a wonderful friend. We had so many laughs together and tackled school problems with kindness and humour. I shall miss her.
