In loving memory of Anita Hastings who sadly passed away on 13th January 2020

Anita unexpectedly passed away in hospital on Monday, the 13th of January.
Loving wife of Ronnie (deceased) and loving mother of Michael and Janet Hastings and Mother in law to Kerry.
Anita had lived in Horncastle for nearly 20 years and loved her family and her life which was enriched by her hobbies and friends in various quilting and card making groups and volunteering at the Banks Centre. Anita was part of the crafters guild and made and sold her crafts with a passion. Anita is very lovingly remembered and very sadly missed.

Dear Anita, mummy, mum.
We miss you so much,
Your sense of fun

You so enjoyed your life, your love of family, friends, hobbies and crafts...
Not to mention a swift pint or a half!

Your lovely smile will be so fondly remembered
So many happy memories to be truly treasured.

Without you in it, the same our lives will not be
The last thing you said to us was have fun... you wanted us to be happy.

But we still can’t believe you are not here...
We miss you so much it’s hard to bear.

Now who can I ask?
Do I cut the quilt binding to two and a quarter... or two and a half?!

Tabatha misses her lovely fur-mummy
Who so lovingly put up with her rather smelly tummy!

You’ll always be missed and so fondly remembered ...and in our hearts
A consolation for us, your love will continue to shine, in your quilt work arts.

We love you so much Anita mummy mum.

xxx

In loving memory of our auntie Anita, she will be dearly missed and so fondly remembered. We will always remember her generosity, fun, modesty and warmth. Her cherished quilted blankets that were so kindly received for Harry and Poppy whilst growing up. The crafted Christmas wishes that took pride of place in our home. The stories and jokes we shared whilst growing up, her big smiles and strong family bond. She was everyone’s favourite auntie! Together again with Ronnie. She will forever be in our hearts, Simon, Laura, Harry & Poppy x

Anita was a wonderful mother-in-law and truly made me feel like one of the family. She is at the center of many happy memories beginning in the early days when I met Mike (cooking us delicious meals when we returned from the days windsurfing) right up to treasured memories of Anita and Janet's trip to Oregon in 2018. Anita was a rock for me and my sister Tracy when our parents were sick and she helped to give us strength to get through those difficult times.
Anita I will miss you and I promise to take good care of Mike and Janet.

Anita's friendship meant a lot to me, I enjoyed her company in the shop and she shared memories of her time living abroad, of Janet and Michael growing up and retirement with Ron. We also shared lots of laughs too. I really do miss her on a Friday morning. So sorry not to be able to come to the funeral, but my thoughts and prayers will be with you.
