On 31st January 2020, suddenly at Ings Grove House, of Thornhill, Dewsbury, aged 60 years, Joanne, dearly loved wife of Andy, much loved mum of Lauren and step-mum of Nicola, dear mother-in-law of Adam and cherished grandma of Amelia, Demi and Cody.
Funeral service will take place at Dewsbury Moor Crematorium on Monday 17th February 2020 at 12.30pm.
Friends please accept this intimation and meet at the crematorium. Family flowers only please donations in lieu may be placed in the collection box provided or sent to George Brooke Ltd, Funeral Directors, for the benefit of the Egyptian Mau Welfare.

it was a privilege to know Jo i will miss her greatly, her trust in me to look after Sorrell meant so much to me as she looked passed my wheelchair, i came to realise Jo always looked passed people's outside. Margaret Palmer recommended Jo and Starr Sailor Maus describing Jo as a very caring person who bred Maus for no other reason than she loved them. Both true jo cared because she really cared not because it was the in thing her love and knowledge of Mau's was endless and she was always happy to share. she called Sorrell her special little boy as she had to bottle feed him which makes me feel honored to look after him he will be a constant reminder of a very lovely and special lady. (i hope her father time and muse are all together minus the spraying)

The Egyptian Mau Club are saddened at the death of Jo Higgins, a long term member, former Chair and membership secretary of our club. Jo has owned and bred Egyptian Maus for many years and was the proud owner of Sobekoteo Mwsher (Muse) who won the first Challenge Certificate when the breed achieved full status. Jo was a real stalwart of our breed and its welfare and she will be sadly missed for her strength of character and wicked sense of humour by all who knew her.- on behalf of the Egyptian Mau Club
