In loving memory of Paul Raven who sadly passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on 21st January 2020

Wonderful Husband to Lesley, loving father and grandfather.

Paul was a Kind and compassionate man, always ready to listen to others and offer aid and advice if they should wish it.
Working hard all his life to give his children the best start he could. His aptitude in helping took him to Scouting where he devoted ten years of his life to helping youngsters grow and develop into honest and kind young men.

A lover of reading and writing, Paul wrote many poems and stories in his time which have become to be some comfort now to his loved ones.

He will be loved and missed by many.

Stephen Aldridge wrote

Although this has been expected for some time it has still came as a terrible shock to Lesley, the children, family and friends.
If there is a good thing with his passing is that he was at home,Asleep In his chair ,with black and white film on the TV with a small glass of his favourite tipple next to him. Knowing he just fell asleep and did not suffer is a god send. Paul was a very intelligent and practical man who could turn his hand to most things creating a good loving home for Lesley and the children. He will be sadly missed by many. There is a Chinese saying which I feel is so apt for Paul which reads “ An old person dying is like a Library burning down “.Rest in peace my very friend.
