Sybil Thorpe (15 Feb 1933 - 13 Jan 2020)

In loving memory of Sybil Thorpe who sadly passed away on 13th January 2020 aged 86 years.
Sybil was born and raised in Stapleford with her twin brother, Ronald who passed a few weeks after he was born in 1933, making memories from day one. Moving from Stapleford to Long Eaton and then finally Risley. She had raised 3 children Janice, Michelle and John on her own after her dear husband Douglas sadly passed in 1974. Over the years her life had thrown some big obstacles her way but she always pulled through even if she thought they were the worst ones. She always plodded on. Over time two of her children Janice and Michelle had given Sybil 4 Grandchildren. Abigail, Nathan, Shannon and Annabelle, they all had made Sybil's day when they had been in touch or went round to visit. She was a proud woman who was proud of her family even if she didn't show it on some days.
Sybil made a lot of people proud and grateful to of met her over the years but most of all made her family proud to have her around, keeping them going by teaching them lessons that only she could teach.
Sybil you will be sadly missed by all of your family and friends.
We have chosen this charity on behalf of Sybil as she was unfortunately born blind also her love for dogs that had been in her family.
