RIP Barry. One of life’s good guys whom I never met. Barry and I played Words with Friends with each other for quite some time. He was always complimentary in victory or defeat and cared to ask after myself and my family. We shared an interest in cycling, especially le Tour. May you cycle in eternal peace Barry. God bless, Dermot. 🚲

Barry was the best friend one could wish for, and I never even met him! We played Wordfeud against one another almost every day for quite a few years. He was there to lend his support when my father passed away unexpectedly and he was always witty and cheerful. Both cyclists, we chatted about that from time to time too. I would like to think that I was able to give him some words of encouragement throughout his illness...and he said that our games kept him sharp and took his mind off things. To his family, my heartfelt condolences...he must have been a super person to know face-to-face. With warmest wishes from a good, sad friend. He will be missed. Dawn.

My enduring memory of Bazza will be his carpark training sessions where he would spin next to his minivan to get his heart rate up during lunch! He'll be sadly missed at Three.
