Thanks Eugene for the times we spent together doing some repair works down at Burley Methodist Church and for the support you and Vera gave to the Church and The Boys' Brigade 8th Leeds Company. Fond memories of times well spent. Your golden tip of measure twice cut once has stayed with me and every time I cut a piece of wood who is there with me Eugene.
You lived a good life and our hearts go out to all the family, you are greatly missed.
Michael and Janet

Dave, Max, Lads & Family.

My live & prayers go out to you. I wanted to share some lyrics, that say everything for me:

The Dance ~ Garth Brooks

Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared beneath the stars above
For a moment all the world was right.
How could I have known you'd ever say goodbye

And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way
it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd have to miss the dance.

Take Care Guys

Eugene was there at Burley every Sunday when we were growing up. A steady presence. A hardworking family man, so often when I saw him he was doing a job often outside in the garden.
My favourite story is from after he and Vera had retired back to Nevis. I had called by to catch up with Dave and Max when Eugene phoned. Not having spoken with him for a couple of years or so Dave passed me the phone. Eugene told me how he was enjoying his retirement and his biggest concern was the wild donkeys coming and eating his vegetables - it seemed a lovely time for him.
More recently as his memory has got worse I have heard of the concerns of his family.
Now he is at peace, and a piece of him will remain in all our hearts.

It was 2 April last year that I last saw my cousin Eugene Nisbette when I visited him, his wife Vera and daughter Heather, at the family home in Nevis W.I. A lively conversation developed. Eugene was involved but not as briskly as in June 2016 when my brother Maurice who was visiting from England, and I visited him. On my visit last April I was told that he would be moving back to England permanently. I was still hoping to see him again so when I learnt of his passing I was saddened. He was a very cordial and accommodating cousin whom I was happy to know for the first time when he first returned to Nevis to live.

On behalf of my family I extend deepest sympathy to you his family as you mourn. Please be assured of my prayers. God will sustain you.
