In loving memory of Adrian Hylton who sadly passed away on 20th December 2019.

Adrian was a kind, loving man. He thought the world of his family and friends, and would do anything to help them.

He grew up as an only child in Glenfield, Leicester, with his mother and father, Marjorie and George Hylton. He went on to run his fathers’ business, Hylton and Dawson, and was lucky to have many opportunities in his life. He loved to go on holidays with his wife, and his three children, and Devon was like a second home to him where he would go at least twice a year. Despite having to retire early, due to ill health, it never stopped him from being the brightest man. Every morning he would turn on the radio and listen to his music whilst he was either fixing something around the house, or making models from his magazine subscriptions. Many of his traits and talents continue to live on through his children, with his two sons working in garages and on cars/buses, whilst his daughter inherited his love of reading and learning new things.

Although he was diagnosed with the dreaded disease that is cancer, he kept a smile on his face for the next 11 months, and fought with every bit of strength that he had. When his body decided it was getting tired, he spent his day’s in LOROS with his family, giving lots of kisses and reminding them how much he loves them. He held on until his wife and children were there with him by his side, before taking his last breath.

His kind heart requested that we collect donations for LOROS and Macmillan Cancer Support, as they helped him with everything during the 11 months that he had to fight. He would want everyone to remember him and smile, and to carry on living in this world with him in our hearts and memories.

Thank you to everyone that has took the time to visit him, and to the people that have sent their condolences. They have not gone unnoticed by his family, and they appreciate it so much during this difficult time.

I met Mr. Hylton summer of 2018 when I traveled to England from America to meet his daughter Sophie for the first time after being friends online with her for a few years. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about him, every moment I spent around him I felt incredibly welcome into his wonderful home and he treated me like family while I was there. I will always treasure the time I spent with him and his wonderful family.
