In loving memory of Mark Stone who sadly passed away on 20th December 2019.
Mark was a larger than life character much loved husband, dad and grandad.
We have been together 32 years and married for 29. We have 2 beautiful children Allyce and Oliver and they have given us 3 gorgeous grandchildren Riley, Eva and Jackson, Mark will unfortunately not get to hold our 4th grandchild due in June 2020.
He worked in Sheffield teaching hospitals for 28 years.
He has worked in the speciality of Ophthalmology since qualifying in 1991. First at Leeds General Hospital but quickly returned to Sheffield as a staff nurse then worked his way up to Matron, before moving for a short time to Queens Medical Centre Nottingham then returned again to Sheffield as a Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Educator.
Mark will be greatly missed as he leaves a massive hole in our lives and in the lives of everyone he met

It was with great sadness I heard the news of Mark.
It was a privilege to have known & worked with Mark for over 25 years. He was always immensely supportive with a wonderful sense of humour, but most of all he was kind.
May he rest in peace.

I was stunned when I heard this news, and I still find it difficult to accept that you are gone, Mark. I will treasure my memories of your warmth, your sense of humour, and your selflessness. You always made my days brighter. Rest in peace, my old friend.

I first met Mark over 27 years ago when I was a student nurse. I can honestly say I have never met a nicer man. Always greeted me with a smile and would always stop for a quick chat as we passed each other in outpatients.
Condolences to Mark's family and friends. R.I.P Mark, heaven has gained a true angel x
