In loving memory of the late Lance HUNN who sadly passed away on 9th April 2015.

Lance was born in Norfork in October 1926.
He spent all of his formative years in a small village. This gave him his life long love of nature and the outdoors. His life changed when he was called up to do national service in 1946. After basic training he was posted to Nottingham where he met and married Betty Williams in 1947.They started married life in Bunbury st, where Lesley and Karen where born. Life was tough in the early days, Lance had just been
De-mobbed from the army and was trying to make a new life in the big city. They also had to deal with a child with major health problems.Together they managed to make a living and still look after a sick child
In a Liverpool hospital. They soon moved to Rutland Road, where David was born. The house was revamped by Lance and Betty over the years, Lance was what we now call an entrepreneur, he had a number of successful companies over the years. With the help and support of Betty he ended his working life as joint owner of one of Nottingham’s Largest taxi firms.
Lance was always very passionate about aeroplanes and flying. He joined Tollerton flying club and after lots of hard work and study to pass his flying exams he gained his pilots licence.
Lance leaves a wife, 3 grown up children, 6 grandchildren and 8 great
grandchildren. R.I.P.

My loving dad for almost 60 years , in July. You so wanted to visit the seaside again , especially Whitby, where you and I had eaten the biggest and best piece of battered cod ever! You loved your holidays in Norfolk and the broads visiting all the places you remembered from a boy.
God saw you getting weary, and hill too hard to climb, so he gently closed your loving eyes and whispered 'peace be thine'
Now at peace with nature. Sleep tight Dad. Goodnight Karen xxxxxxxxxx

My last memory of you dad is of your Easter Sunday visit with mum for lunch. Lots of laughter and reminiscences, you were back on form. When you both left Karen and I said how much we had enjoyed your visit. So sad that we shall not be able to have our talks , discussing the latest news and putting the world to rights. Thanks for all your love and understanding , my only dad for over 30 years. From your son in law, John.

We send our sincere condolences to the family. We knew Lance had heart problems but he just seemed to keep going on. We were all ways made most welcome when we visited from New Zealand and I know he would have like to pay us a visit.
