In loving memory of Margaret Pamela Rowland who sadly passed away on 15th December 2019 - aged 80 years.

Born within the sound of the Bow Bells in Stepney in 1939, the 2nd of five children to Ivy and Cyril Baker. The family moved to Croydon in Maggies early years where she went to school at Ecclesbourne and Lady Edridge. At the age of 18 she moved to Paris and developed a love for the City, the French culture and travel. On her return to the Croydon she met the love of her life Tony Rowland whilst embarking on her career in Nursing. Maggie eventually became a Sister at Mayday Hospital and then a fully qualified Midwife at St. Margaret's Hospital.

In 1978 Maggie left her Nursing career to help develop Rowland Brothers International - she managed the wages and accounts for the company. The move also was beneficial to her love of travelling. Tony & Maggie visited virtually every country on the Earth where they developed lifelong friendships with our colleagues from around the world.

Maggie was a member of many clubs and associations including The Rotary Club, Inner Wheel, Ladies Circle, The Soroptimists, Freemasonry and Croydon Bowls club.

Maggie is survived by her husband Tony, Son Steve, Grandchildren Ben, Joe, Ellie & Evie and Great grandson Larnie.

A life well lived, full of adventure, care and love

If you knew Maggie then please do attend the funeral service on the 8th January.
