In loving memory of Paul Puckey who sadly passed away on 9th December 2019, aged 80.
Paul was a devoted husband to Nancy, father to Deb, Andrew and Richard and grandfather to 8 grandchildren who he absolutely adored. Paul was born in Redruth, the eldest of 4 children to Courtney and Freda Grace Puckey. Following his early years in Padstow, Paul went on to join the Army as a driver in the RASC where he went on to have a distinguished military career lasting over 22 years. During his military service he was the proud recipient of the British Empire Medal for his services in Germany, before going on to gain his commission and leaving the Army as a Captain in 1982.
Paul will be sorely missed by everyone with whom he came into contact with, none more so than his family who loved him and will miss him dearly. Our thanks go out to everyone who have passed on their condolences and sympathy's and it is extremely heart warming to see the outpouring of love for him. It is clear that he meant so much to so many people and we hope that he is looking down on us all now and is extremely proud of what he has achieved and the legacy he has left. He will never be forgotten and will forever be in our hearts and minds for what he has done for us all.
Pauls funeral will take place on the 14th January at Sutton Crematorium, after which his ashes will be laid to rest at his beloved Padstow. The family have asked that donations be made to Padstow Lifeboat in his memory. Please feel free to share your memories and photos of Paul and light a candle on his behalf, and on behalf of the whole family we thank you again for your support and love.
