In loving memory of John Edward Hills who sadly passed away on 29th November 2019.

The Funeral Service will be held at Basildon Crematorium, followed by the wake at The Chicheser Hotel in Old London Road, Wickford, SS11 8UE.

John was a loving husband, a devoted dad to his three daughters, a brilliant grandad to the two newest additions to his family and a great friend to many. He lived life to the full and enjoyed everything he did, from his work as a builder, to a variety of sports, to spending time with his family.

We have decided to choose a charity close to his heart ‘Help for Hero’s’. John was our hero and always loved to do anything he could to help others, nothing was ever too much to ask. He raised lots of money for charity over the years with his sporting achievements including completing the Iron Man race in Hawaii, Swimming the channel, multiple quadrathons, Triathlons and marathons, and most recently completed the Tough Mudder challenge with his daughters and their partners.

If you would like to donate money rather than flowers for the funeral please do so through this just giving page. But if you would like to send flowers please send to Stibbards Funeral Directors in Hadleigh.

John will be missed by all but never forgotten, our hero always! x
