In loving memory of Philip Hanby who sadly passed away on 21st November 2019.

A funeral service remembering the life and work of Philip will be held at Lincoln Cathedral on the 18th December 2.30pm. There will be a private cremation after the service.

We have chosen not to have floral tributes but instead ask for a donation to be made to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. We discovered that Philip was donating to the home every month and it was a cause very close to his heart.

Thank you

I had no idea Phil had left us until today and was totally shocked. He worked his brilliance for me when I was unfairly dismissed after 18 years and remained a friend from then on. He would bring me aircraft magazines to my work and we would spend ages chewing the fat. A great bloke, a genuine character,I liked him enormously. I wish I had known sooner.

So many good times in the wine bar in Boston, he never discriminated who he made friends with from many backgrounds. Fun was his middle name and have lovely memories. He would help anyone without blinking. Audrey and I send our condolences to Michelle and family, who made him very happy

Very sad to have only met Philip once, and briefly, earlier this year. We had hoped to both visit your home and also that Phlip would make it to our home in Alkmaar.

Sincere condolences to Michelle and family, along with my sister Laura at this sad time. I'm sure Phil's friends will miss his jokes and tales as he was a greater entertainer when in company. May he RIP.

  • Nicolas and Dawn Skitini & Melody Lodge Residents When we first met Phil 20 years ago you embraced all the problems I had been through and from that day on you have always been my pillow of strength and a very very dear friend, you were the best Phil and you will missed so very much by all who loved and dear to you. But I shall never forget you and will see you again in the near future God Bless Nik.
