In loving memory of Allan and Enid Hewitt
Allan ("with two L's"!) born in Leeds as Alan (with one L!) moved to London after RAF National Service where he landed on his feet when he met, fell in love with and married Enid. The best decision of his life.
Always the gentleman, he was kind, caring, supportive and exceedingly generous - especially with his time. Former banker, business leader and mentor to many. He would have a go at most things - part-time fireman, boxer, cricketer, but that said DIY and cooking were rarely overly successful!
"I hope you have an Allan in your world. If not, you should get one." Mark Hodgson.
*******
Enid born in Tilbury and swiftly moved to London (Brixton!). Met, fell in love with (because he asked her to dance not go to the cinema) and married Allan. Still the best decision of "his" life.
Always smiling, always listening, always there for us, never judging, always accepting, giving unconditionally. She was our rock, our sunshine, our security, our home. She gave us roots and wings to fly and stepped back and watched as we blossomed.
****
Allan & Enid lived life to the full and travelled the world with family and friends. They built a home together for Wendy and Jenny filled with love, happiness and laughter.
Wendy, Jenny, Christopher, Jordan, Hayley, Guy, Jeremy and Lindsey will miss them both but have an endless supply of happy memories to comfort them and feel so lucky to have been their family.
We all loved them so very much and we know that they knew.
xx
