BIOGRAPHY IN BRIEF:
It's impossible to know where to start when writing about Roy. He was fiercely intelligent, witty, generous and kind; although if asked, he'd deny all of this - except the bit about his intelligence. He was known for his love of Southampton FC, crosswords, politics and a passion for a good argument.
In terms of facts, Roy was born at home in Edmonton at 10.15pm on Tuesday 3rd November 1970, the second son of Cathy and Patrick Graham. As the son of an army family, he moved often, living in a range of exotic locations including Germany, Hong Kong and Bournemouth. He attended Embley Park School, after which he joined the police force; a career cut short by a serious injury sustained in a rugby match. Following this, Roy worked as an estate agent and later moved on to a career in sales. In more recent years, he worked primarily in design, production and distribution of print materials and web design, providing assistance to start-ups through his company Giraffe Leaflets.
Roy fell ill over the summer and was admitted to Epsom hospital on September 12th. He was transferred to intensive care at St Helier hospital on September 17th, where he died at 4.42pm on Tuesday November 5th. He leaves behind his partner Emma, his mother Cathy, his brother Gary and his two children Carl and Ro.
